Thanks for stopping by!
My name is Chace. That's not a misspelling. It's not Chance or Grace or Tracy. It's Chace. Pronounced like Chase, just one little letter off.
I get asked about my name a lot. I have emails and mail addressed to me as Sir or Mr. on a daily basis. By the time I was 12 I honestly stopped trying to correct people. It's just too exhausting. Gotta pick your battles in life.
Now that we have that out of the way, I have to give the following disclaimer: I have absolutely no qualifications of any kind. None. I'm the proud owner of an associate's degree and I had to go into debt to get that. Having said that, you probably shouldn't be here if you need any kind of self help, if anything, I am writing this because I am the one who needs some help and writing helps. So that's what I do.
What I lack in qualifications, I more than make up for with an interesting perspective on a very crazy life and the lessons I've learned along the way. I'm a self proclaimed late bloomer who as I'm approaching 40, still feel like I haven't earned my status as an adult. I'm not that good at it, but I try hard. I guess that counts for something.
This adventure should be fun, funny and hopefully not a complete disaster. I look forward to many adventures together.
Some other things about me:
I'm a wife to a great guy who puts up with me on so many levels.
I'm a mom of 4 kids, 2 biological and 2 bonus kids, 3 boys and a girl. They are all in their late teens and early 20's. Which means, there is a light at the end of my tunnel and I don't think it is a train.
I work full time in technology sales, but I don't know that much about technology. This gives me a lot of uncomfortable and humorous situational material.
I'm also what my orthopedic surgeon calls an "Exercise Addict". As you read you will find out why I have an orthopedic surgeon on call. I have a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu. I also do Crossfit intermittently and yoga almost daily.
I listen to podcasts constantly and I might have an unhealthy obsession with true crime, but I also might just be obsessed with not getting murdered.
I'll let you decide,
Chace
